    Go for a JBL or something else.. this is pretty bad.. I bought it bcoz I bought the Samsung QLED tv with dolby and all, with a thought that since both will sync together nicely as they promoted... but pretty bad sound quality..

    This is definitely a top quality five star product.

    All the setting up stuff was easy and the sound was stunning.

    The sound? Awesome on everything I have tried. Movies, tv, games, and music are all so good.

    Excellent 'thumpy' sounds and excellent 'surroundy' sounds from it. Everything is very clear. Have heard other peoples much cheaper soundbars and the s800 destroys their soundbars.

    The setup? Really easy. Setting it up as just tv to soundbar with woofer was as easy as turning it all on then connecting them all via the tv settings with a few clicks.

    You get the option to use soundbar/woofer only or soundbar/woofer plus tv speakers too which is even better sounding.

    You can connect soundbar direct to pc as well and this is simple to do.

    It is not mentioned in the manual but was as easy as clicking the bluetooth icon on the windows taskbar, you need to have started bluetooth so this icon shows of course, and then 'add a bluetooth device' from the taskbar icon so you see the "[AV] Samsung Soundbar S800B" connection option with no messing about and can click that to pair it up.

    Trying to pair the soundbar via windows sound settings takes a lot of messing about to get working so I just used the method above. Just realised that using 'bluetooth & devices' in windows settings will get it working too.

    I added two samsung rear speakers and connected it to the legion laptop and samsung q95b tv, both wirelessly, and sound stuff in this laptop, tv, soundbar, and rear speakers setup was all up and running within minutes. The q95b picture quality is stunning as well but that is another story...

    Adding the rear speakers was easy and setting their sound to max took seconds using the soundbar remote. Had read that rear speaker setup was tricky to do but when soundbar says left or right rear speaker and you press up on the volume unsurprisingly this turns up the volume on the left or right speaker.

    The one small criticism I have of this soundbar is that when you turn off the microphone on the soundbar there is a red light dot sort of inside the front speaker part of the soundbar to indicate the soundbar microphone is off. You will see this red dot light and will start to focus on. I dont use microphone but left it on just to get rid of the annoying red light dot.

    Very happy. Great price, takes up minimal space and is aesthetically pleasing.

    I have much more expensive, better quality kit elsewhere in my house so I can compare. You can't defy physics, so whilst it doesn't sound as good as a full wires surround set up and larger subwoofer, if you have the right expectations, you will be pleasantly surprised.

    Only 4 stars as I can't seem to get Alexa voice assistant to work. Seems more of a software issue between Samsung Smart things and Alexa.

    Product description says this is a /XU model (UK version) but I received a /EN (European). Only page of the enclosed manual in English was the front cover!!

    The Samsung link for the English version Download would not open "We can't open this file - Refresh". So I had to go to a third party website (after many attempts) and print off around 17 sheets of double sided pages to read about it after spending what seemed an eternity talking to Samsung people about the problem. One of them tried to blame my PC; Laptop and iPad as all being the problem!!

    Also; if you plan to link your TV and Soundbar then you will be OK with the supplied HDMI/Micro HDMI lead provided but if you want to use the Samsung SmartThings app then you may have to hold down both the - + buttons for a few seconds on top of the soundbar to reset it. This is quicker than the time it takes to discuss it not linking with Samsung!!

    Never-the-less it is now set up and mated to my TV. Very frustrating to set up but now seems to be working well and the price is very good compared to a major local supplier whose price is almost twice what I paid.

    You also get 2 x 13 AMP 3 pin English plug leads included.

    So; if you are prepared to Download an English manual and do the simple reset then this appears to be a very good deal.

    It does sound amazing now I have it set up and I am able to adjust it using the Samsung SmartThings app from my phone as the up-firing speaker volume can be adjusted as well as other settings. Well worth installing the Samsung SmartThings app on your phone....and don't forget to alter your TV sound output settings to TV + S800B Soundbar.

    Very good sound with excellent bass. Has multiple modes, but I've not really played about with them as standard is fine. Night mode, basically, shuts the bass down a bit. Has some real ommpphhh if you turn it up.

    The only downside I've noticed is how slow Alexa can be to respond. Usually have to say "Alexa" and wait for it to respond before stating your command. You get used to it but it is a bit annoying.
